The Indonesian Surf Project

The intent of this project is to document the people that make up Bali’s incredibly rich surf culture by specifically focusing on the locals that make this surf community what it is.

The project will cast a wide net, not only focusing on the up and comers, but also shedding light on the local legends and some of the original Indonesians to start surfing on the island. In the end I hope to create a sort of library of these surfers, if for no other reason than to piece together a snapshot of what the surf culture in Bali was like at this time.
